Indianola is a city in Warren County, Iowa, United States. The population was 12,998 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Warren County. Simpson College, a liberal arts college of the United Methodist Church, is located in Indianola. Indianola is also the home of the National Balloon Classic and National Balloon Museum. Indianola is part of the Des Moines–West Des Moines Metropolitan Statistical Area.
